HTML5 Offline Application Cache

People move about freely and they take their mobile phone and computers with them. Their connection to the internet comes and goes. But that doesn't mean that access to your website or application has to come and go. HTML5 introduces the ability to cache entire applications in the browser. This allows a person to still interact and use an application even when not connected to the web. The next time they are connected their app will automatically sync with the web.

If your browser supports HTML5 offline cache it will store this webpage. If you have other tabs open and you disconnect from the web and then refresh your tabs you will notice that only this tab is able to be refreshed. The others will tell you that you are not online. HTML5 can cache video, audio, text, images, and other file formats offline. This capability is potentially very useful for authors, artists, musicians, or anyone else wanting their content available even if offline.
